近赤外線

近赤外線は、囲炉裏の炭の赤い熱線のようなイメージで、熱により生体に作用しているとする論文が多いが、我々は、水分を含まない部分には影響を与えず、深部に浸透する電子レンジのMicrowave(電磁波)のような作用ももちあわせ、生体では表面を冷却して照射すると、深部組織まで到達し、非常に大きな作用を及ぼすことができると考えている。

 

従来から、近赤外線は水、ヘモグロビン、ミオグロビンに、特に吸収されるとされている。19)

 

しかしながら、生体は、近赤外線曝露により、コラーゲン、エラスチンを産生促進し、生体表層の水分量を増加させることで、深部組織を防御するため、水、コラーゲン、エラスチンなどに共通する構造が近赤外線を吸収する部位であると考える19)。この共通する構造は、水素結合であると考えるが、今後さらなる実験と検証が必要である。





UVカットは皮膚がんの予防、しみ、しわなど浅層の光老化予防に必須であるが、それだけでは、深層の光老化予防には不充分である可能性があると考える。
今後さらなる実験と検証が必要であるが、我々のこれまでの研究から、近赤外線をカットすることで、深層の光老化を最小限に抑制することが可能になると考える。

 

近赤外線に対する防御機能に、紫外線でのスキンタイプのような違いがヒトに存在するとすれば、その防御機能の弱いヒトが、無防備で日常的に太陽光の強い近赤外線に曝露されると、発赤・発汗・水疱・血管拡張・光老化を引き起こす可能性があるため、近赤外線散乱物質・遮断物質を含有する近赤外線カットの日焼け止め、帽子、服などで、近赤外線カットをする必要があると考える。
